Place a layer of uncooked strawberries in a baked pie shell.
In a saucepan, cook
about 3 cups of fresh strawberries
2 tbsp water
1/8 tsp salt
½ to ¾ c white sugar
Thicken with 2 tbsp cornstarch
Add ½ pkg of strawberry Jello powder to hot mixture and stir until Jello is dissolved.
Pour hot mixture over raw strawberries in pie shell
When cold top with whipped cream or Dream Whip.
Decorate top with whole uncooked berries.
