¼ c shortening
½ c sugar
1 egg, beaten
½ c pumpkin
1 c sifted flour (all purpose)
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ¼ cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ginger
½ c raisins
½ c chopped nuts
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually.
Cream until light and fluffy.
Add egg and pumpkin, mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices together and mix well until blended.
Add raisins and nuts.
Drop by teaspoon fulls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 350 degree oven for approx. 15 minutes. (24 cookies)
